City boat ramps are now closed due to the continuing low levels of the lake and the outlook for drought like conditions to continue. This action is taken to protect the boating public from potential damage to their boats and towing vehicles and to protect the integrity of the boat ramps themselves. When it is deemed safe to reopen the ramps we will post it here!

PERKINS BOAT RAMP NOW OPEN

The water level is still very low so boaters should be careful not to back their trailers off the end of the ramp. Boaters are required to float onto the trailers, motoring on is prohibited. The ramp should be open from dawn to dusk. The parking is limited to tow vehicles with trailers that have the required City of Belle Isle parking decal. Others may launch, but not park at the facility. All rules, as posted at the ramp, must be obeyed or launch privileges could be suspended.
