APPLICATION
Any construction work in the City of
Belle Isle requires that a Building Permit (Zoning) Review
Application be submitted. Review fees range from no charge to
$165.00 depending upon the type of construction. The fee for
room additions, pools, and new houses is $165.00, by way of example
but not limited to. To determine what the fee is for the
construction proposed, contact City Hall at 407-851-7730. Be
advised that construction without the proper permitting will result
in a double fee. If not brought into compliance, the City may
impose fines and or require the work to be
removed.
Once zoning review
is completed by the City of Belle Isle you will be able to take
your plans with the zoning approval stamp to the Orange County
Building Department for the issuance of a building permit and the
required inspections.
Boat Dock Applications: BOAT
DOCK ZONING REVIEW APPLICATION
All new construction, repair or
reconstruction of boat docks requires a Belle Isle Boat Dock Permit
Application. If you are making minor repairs, there may be no
charge. If you are re-decking or rebuilding a fee of $165.00
may apply. Failure to obtain the necessary permit will result
in a double fee. If not in compliance, additional fines may
be imposed and the work may have to be
removed.
Once you have
obtained zoning approval from the City of Belle Isle you may take
your plans with the zoning stamp to the Orange County Building
Department for the issuance of the building permit and required
inspections.
Garage Sale Permits GARAGE
SALE PERMIT FORM
Garage/yard sales are permitted no more than once every
three months at any one address in the City of Belle Isle.
The permit cost is $1.00 and must be issued prior to the
commencement of the sale. Failure to obtain the permit will
result in a double fee and could also lead to a Notice of Violation
being issued.
Driveway Permits DRIVEWAY
APPLICATION FORM
A permit is required to install a new or replace an
existing driveway. The purpose of the permit is to provide
the City with an opportunity to determine if the impervious surface
(coverage on a lot) exceeds that allowed by our Codes.
Exceeding the 35% allowed coverage on a residential lot is allowed
if the required on-site retainage of stormwater runoff is
addressed. Review of the proposed driveway by the City
Engineer will determine if any retention is needed and, if so, how
much.
