Update on Belle Isle City Parks Gene Polk Park (Delia Beach) and Montmart Park plans have been completed and approved. Construction has started on both parks. Montmart Park is 90% complete and Gene Polk Park is 70% complete. |
Montmart Park
Montmart Park is located on the corner of Montmart Drive and Hoffner Avenue. Montmart Park is a passive park with a three tier fountain, butterfly garden and many trees which attract many variety of birds and wildlife and also provides a lot of shade for relaxing. Two small open grassy areas, horseshoe pits, bench swing and picnic tables make this site suitable for a family picnic and other family activities. |

Gene Polk Park (Delia Beach) Gene Polk Park is a local park and swimming beach located at the east end of Delia Avenue. A sidewalk and bridge make this park accessible to strollers, wheelchairs, walkers and mobility carts. The Park contains a waterfall feature and stream with native vegetation in and around the natural rock features. This park overlooks the west end of Lake Conway and is enjoyed by area residents. Swimming at your own risk is permitted. There are no designated parking spaces. |

Trimble Park is located in the south portion of the city between the east end of Trentwood Blvd and the south end of Wind Willow Road. Trimble Park is a passive park with walk paths surrounding a pond which attracts many varieties of birds and wildlife. Open grassy areas and picnic tables make this site suitable for a family picnic, frizbee, kite flying and other family activities. |

The Perkins Boat Ramp is located at the east end of Perkins Road and is a launch facility for recreational water craft. The limited number of parking spaces are reserved for vehicles with trailers. Vehicles without trailers may park on adjacent streets where permitted. The ramp is open from sun up until sun down daily. A key may be obtained at City Hall for a nominal annual fee for fishermen who wish to have access to the ramp before or after regular operating hours. |

Swann Beach is a local park and swimming beach located at the east end of Swann Avenue. A sidewalk and deck with ramp make this park accessible to strollers, wheelchairs, walkers and mobility carts. The deck overlooks the south lobe of Lake Conway and is enjoyed by area residents. Swimming at your own risk is permitted. There are no designated parking spaces. |
