The administrative offices of the city are located at 1600 Nela Avenue, Belle Isle, Fl. 32809. The administrative staff includes the City Manager, City Clerk, Finance Director, General Services Director, Code Enforcement Officer, a Maintenance Division and the Police Department. The administrative staff under the direction of the City Manager also provides administrative support to the City Council, Advisory Committees, Planning and Zoning Board, Code Enforcement Magistrate and the office of the Mayor.
The City of Belle Isle has a Council/City Manager form of government with an elected Mayor and seven city commissioners. The City Manager is the chief administrative officer who is tasked with overseeing all adminstrative duties and daily business operations of the City.
The City Council legislatively establishes polices through ordinances and resolutions which determine the laws, proceedings and service levels for the City. The seven member City Council represents the citizens of the city and are elected from the district in which they reside. All elected officials of the city serve three year terms and receive no compensation for their service.
