The Belle Isle Police Department is a fully staffed, 24/7 police operation providing community patrol, criminal investigations, school resource program, traffic and marine enforcement. The 14 member agency has forged a relationship with community that has proven to be very positive. The police department provides concentrated neighborhood patrols and a house watch program for vacationing residents. We also have a business watch program as well as an interactive program for financial institutions where the officers make regular visits to our banks to enhance security and detour criminal interest. The financial institution program has a proven record of reducing bank fraud and robberies.
We at the Belle Isle Police Department encourage all of our citizens to report anything that seems out of place or suspicious. When in doubt, call us out. To make communications with your police department easier, our on duty patrol officers carry a cell phone exclusively dedicated for citizen contact, for matters of a routine nature such as general information please call 407-947-1680 and you will speak directly to an on duty patrol officer. In the event he or she is busy with an issue, please leave a voicemail and the officer will contact you promptly. If your need is more pressing or you wish to report a crime over with, a minor vehicle crash or need to have an officer respond to your home or business, please call 407-836-HELP (4457). That number is to the dispatching center; they will take your call and dispatch the first available police officer to your call. If the service you need is due to serious threat to personal safety, a crime in progress such as a burglary or robbery or a traffic crash with injuries, immediately dial9-1-1to speak with an emergency operator. Take precautions to ensure your safety until our police officers arrive.
