Orange County and Waste Management have come together to construct and operate a “Single Stream Recycling” facility near the Orange County landfill.

The technology at the facility eliminates the need for recyclables to be “sorted” by residents or by our employees on collection days! The materials are being sorted at the facility instead, saving time for residents and making recycling easier for them. Therefore, we hope the change encourages greater participation from residents and encourages more to recycle. The collection process is also quieter and reduces the crashing and banging noises that go with the older technology!

Look for this sign which will appear on vehicles to clearly designate recycling collection vehicles. The signs are approximately 2’ X 4’ in size and there will be two signs on each side of the vehicle!
