Public Opinion Survey: Artificial Turf on Residential Lots

Survey Bubble

The survey is now closed on August 16, 2023 - Data Results can be found below.

We encourage all residents to review the following attachments. These reports and meetings cite the pros and cons of installing artificial turf on residential properties. Our City Staff and Representatives have worked hard to research installing this material's immediate and long-term impact.

Currently, the installation of artificial turf in residential areas is not allowed. Residents have asked the City to add provisions to the Code to allow for installing artificial turf in residential areas.  The City of Belle Isle has an ongoing six-month moratorium on installing artificial turf for residential lots. City Staff and City representatives are requesting residents provide input that will help determine if artificial turf should be allowed in residential areas. This survey will only take a few minutes of your time. Please respond to this survey by January 1st, 2023.

City staff and the P&Z Board will review the results, which may impact the recommendation of said board members. To read a Staff Report regarding artificial turf and supplemental information, see the links below or go to the P&Z meeting minutes of Aug 30, 2022.

Please consider the following information before you start the survey.  If you have questions about the P&Z discussions and links below, please contact [Raquel Lozano, City Planner, or any of your P&Z Board members - https://www.belleislefl.gov/bc-pzb.
