Transportation Systems Plan (TSP)

Transportation Initiatives

For the past eight months, the City of Belle Isle has been working with a consultant to review the City’s Transportation Systems Plan (TSP).  This was done in cooperation with MetroPlan Orlando and Orange County.  A TSP identifies transportation systems, as well as outlines policies and strategies necessary to meet existing and future travel needs (motor vehicle, pedestrian, bicycle, and transit) based on projected population growth and community aspirations.

The consultant focused on four major streets in Belle Isle: Hoffner Avenue, Nela Avenue, Daetwyler Road, and Judge Road. Preliminary plans have been developed for better traffic control and circulation.  The City and its consultant would like residents over the next two weeks to review these plans on our website or come to City Hall to review them and provide feedback.  These are extremely large plans, so if you cannot view them on our website, then they are on display in City Hall for the next two weeks.

If you come to City Hall, please call first for an appointment during regular business hours. You will be required to wear a mask, get a temperature check, and maintain safe social distancing while reviewing the plans.

Please Email Bob Francis with questions/comments.
